Four White Vitrines (No. 2)
wood, paint, paper, plexi
7 x 7.5 x 1 inches

I make small wall-mounted objects that emphasize interrelationships between form and surface. My forms are rectangular with subtle deviations such as rounded corners or simple appendages. Their surfaces are painted geometrically, some areas treated to look gently weathered or residual. I am interested in making objects that cause viewers to look into, across and around their surfaces and lead them to experience a collection of subtle harmonious relationships. Recently my work has taken on an interactive element requiring participants to open doors that pivot or slide to reveal interior surfaces and spaces.
